Royal Enfield Model G 1950 project build
Royal Enfield Model G 1950 Project I have for sale my almost completed project which I cannot finish due to some unforeseen circumstances so I am reluctantly selling. It has matching frame and engine numbers and has been verified by the Royal Enfield Owners club as November 1950 when it left the Redditch factory. I have dating info for registration. The engine has been fully stripped, cases have been Soda blasted and bottom end rebuilt with all bearings etc checked for wear. Main bearing cages replaced. Barrel and head soda blasted. Top end rebuild included bore checked as fine (lightly honed) and only needed new rings. Valves good and reground. Gearbox stripped and cleaned and cases soda blasted. All gears and shafts inspected and checked for wear. Rebuilt replacing mainshaft and layshaft bearings. Complete with clutch and primary side covers etc (only 1 side of bike showing in photo but magdyno is in place and clutch and primary cases are ready to fit) Frame and tinwork shotblasted and zinc etch sprayed and then powder coated by motorcycle powder coating specialists. Kickstart lever, gear lever and neutral selector and clutch arm are all original and re chromed to high standard. This rebuild has been brought to an abrupt halt and now must be sold after all the hard work has been done. Major parts needed to complete. Fuel Tank. Seat cover. Wheels and tyres. Rear sprocket and chain. Handlebar and controls cables etc. Exhaust.
