BSA Bantam D1 1952
Bantam D1 - registered in 2001 but declared manufactured in 1952 VMCC confirmed both engine & frame 1952 but none matching numbers. 11 months (free) tax & no mot needed. Bought this to take to shows, but only last week for my (60th) birthday my wife bought me a 1954 M20 & my kids surprised me with a F'Barnett Falcon, add these to the D1 + 2 BMW's (one old & one new) & 5 bikes into space for 3 doesn't go!! So with one BMW on the patio, this has to go. It looks like this was an earlier restoration, engine appears good, easy starter. new front tyre good rear.Brakes are amazingly good! Hand painted cream panel though on tank. Decent condition, looks like hand painted could do with rubbing down the front mudguard & redoing if you wanted perfection. Appears to be no rust though. Bad points - broken fin on head (although one of our members has promised me a replacement head so will include) crack in headlight glass, lights were working ok but have now stopped, I admit to not being good with electrics especially with direct lighting. Again a member is going to have a quick look so may well be sorted but please assume not. Would not be selling if I hadn't got the 2 new additions, I just haven't the space!! Don't like keeping a bike outside & wife is not amused with the patio ornament!! (you can't win as her present is what has put it there!!) Will include assorted manuals etc that came with the bike. Thanks for looking
