BSA Bantam D14/4 175cc
After much heartache have decided to sell my 'classic' bike project due to lack of time and to be honest lack of knowledge/skills..... Was given this a few years ago by a friend who had it stored in her garage for many many years more - the bike having been owned by her uncle and put in her garage following when he passed away. I believe it is a D14/4 175cc two stroke. The engine is totally seized and initially i thought is was within my ability to sort out, rebuild that look to restore. However, despite taking the head off and pouring paraffin, wd40, you name i've tried it down the barrel it refuses to budge. Top end rebuilds are my limit and, therefore, i left it alone and there it has sat for the last two years..... Being complete honest, the bike is not in great condition - all the chrome is shot, the tank is lightly dented, the tin ware is not brilliant and the rear fender is not solid. That said, it is all but complete i think apart from battery. What you can't see in the pictures is in the tin and the exhaust was out of shot. So the truth is - with my limited knowledge, i tried and gave up on restoring her and now other demands on garage space and she needs to go... Happy to answer any questions and bike available for viewing..... Thank you
