suzuki gt200 x5 full T&T replacement engine & rebored
Here is one of my X5s- now looking much better(the BLUE one -not the Yellow one- whilst I removed the engine to polish up- I inspected the bores and photographed the evidence, this explains why the compression is excellent on the replaced engine- with the HONING marks from a rebore still apparent- (standard work done after a rebore to retain oil on the cylinder walls to aid running in) -on the cylinder walls-also the pistons show NO sign of carbon near the crowns-both sure signs the bike has not been fully run in. I have also got paperwork showing the previous lady owner having the bike sorned for seven years and a host of receipts from Crooks Suzuki. Despite the miles- this bike was looked after mechanically- just about everything which rotates has been replaced- including the motor. It is a first kicker and compared to my yellow one has better compression-and that has had a lot spent on it. This bike is a solid little X5 apart from some rust on the header pipes- which do not blow. Back from the age of the 80's cold war/smoking fags allowed/Berlin wall still intact/Les Dawson etc)This is from an age where you had to maintain things and use a manual choke (ask your Dad again)- other wise read on...Oldies like me-will understand-anyone below 45 yrs old may not.
