V Max Trike
Owned by me for the last 6 years, its now time for something more sedate and laid back...... Based on a 1994 V Max, this full power trike has also a Stage 1 Dynojet kit with a K&N air filter, and also a T switch to bring the V Boost in at 3000rpm. Disc brakes all round, back end was lowered 2" by fitting monoshock pit bike rear dampers, with new springs (pit bike ones were 1000lb...ouch!) Recent new plugs and caps, oil change, spotlights and seat cover. The 6 inch risers and bar end mirrors fitted a good while ago. The £30 steering damper from china lasted 5 years, and has recently been replaced by another, £30 chinese one....the rack on the back is off a quad bike and extremely functional. It also has a gel battery to beat those V Max hot start blues.....One bum note...one fork seals gone due to a pothole on the way to the Gerty Back End Rally in october. This trikes won 4 trophies over the time I`ve owned it, and has been to many, many rallies all over the UK, it`s not pristine by any means, but looks the business, with its aggressive stance, which was what I wanted...a sort of streetfighter look, but now, middle age and bad health dictates something less brutal (its not for the faint hearted or inexperienced this machine, please note!) and cruiser like...with pullbacks and IRS....so I may consider the old P and X......
