1997 BMW R1100RS LIGHT GREEN
This is my father's BMW R1100RS for sale. My father owned the bike for 7 years and it was only ever used by him to commute less than 5 miles to and from work each day. The bike is in a very good condition for its age and the only damage I have found on the bodywork is a small crack on one of the front suspension fork covers. The tyres were purchased in 2013 and still have plenty of tread on both the front and rear The bike has an Spyball Patriot alarm/immobilizer fitted and both fobs are still present as well as all of the operating instructions. There are only two issues to be aware of, the first being that the fuel gauge does not work and the ABS warning lights flash when the bike is started. In regards to the ABS lights, this is a known problem but does not affect the braking performance of the bike, I have researched the internet and there is a relatively simple procedure that can be undertaken to resolve the issue (www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsrrpbb4kJc). The bike has a part service history and the previous owner carried out all of the servicing himself and I have his note book with all of the details recorded.
