Piaggio Vespa ET2 50cc
This Vespa has been with me for 4 years now. I have used it all times of the year to get to and from work. Now it has to go. Its just taking up space and I havent used it for 5 months. The MOT runs out on 21/04/15 so now is a better time than ever. So during my time with this scooter I have replaced a few parts.... Front pads,Exhaust - Leo Vince SP3. This exhaust is not a boy raced hair dryer exhaust. It is a more powerful exhaust but without the outrageous noise.70cc Piston and head kit. These kits are very cheap on Ebay and they are so easy to fit that you can replace them on the side of the road.I fitted this kit after I ran out of oil and the previous head seized (oil pipe split). Now repaired. The only thing that I do extra is to add a cap full of 2 stroke oil in with the fuel to make sure it is well lubricated at all times.I replaced the Variator after a strip down to replace the belt revealed some not so good looking rust. With these minor mods carried out the scooter will do 50mph on the clock (Not to be trusted at the top end). The registration still has the engine size as a 50cc so this will "need" to be updated........It will take about £20 and 30 mins to return this scooter back to the stated 50cc. I no longer have the parts to do this due to the reasons listed above. The paint work is rubbish. Years ago for some reason I decided that a matt black scooter would look cool. Oh how wrong was I.So this is not yet a thing of beauty! Some of the panels are a little batter...
