2003 PIAGGIO X9 500 500cc Commuter Scooter Tourer in BLUE

*** RELISTED DUE TO BUYER HAVING CHANGE OF CIRCUMSTANCE *** PLEASE BID TO BUY ***Piaggio x9 maxi scooter with 15,500 Miles, along with Yamaha's v max this scooter really introduces the world to “big scooters”. Powered by a reliable 500cc single cylinder engine the bike cruses at motorway speeds with little wind noise or buffeting. So onto this example of the breed, I bought this bike back in September and have since replaced the exhaust and fitted a new brake caliper to the front for the purpose of providing training. Its been used once by us for that purpose but it was really too big for the chap learning and the rest of the time we have just used it either for instructing from or just popping around town. Which it does well, its comfortable!!The bikes body work lets it down with mark and scratches on most panels, on the left hand side the base plastic is showing and the former owner has put red stickers on the corner to cover some marks. Having said that as an item it doesn't look like a rat bike! The rear tyre seems to have picked up a slow puncture – over the last two weeks of inactivity the tyre has gone down, but inflates fine and has nothing stuck in it. The power stand has been removed and the center stand is now manual. The communications system is disabled and the heated grips are untested. This bike would make a good winter hack or provide a base for improvement. The bike comes with an Mot until March, V5, Keys and Original Top box and rack.
