2005 KTM 450 EXC with recent engine overhaul
KTM 450 EXC 2005 model on a 54 plate. 265 hours and 6740 miles however it has only run for 30 hours since the engine overhaul This has the reliable and powerful RFS motor. I have owned this bike for over 4 years and have used it for green laning locally and in Wales. The bike has recently had a complete engine overhaul at 235 hours with the following work completed and has only done 30 hours since the rebuild; Bore replated by Langcourts. New Wiseco piston and small end. New Woosner Con rod and big end bearings, crank disassembled and reassembled by Owlesbury Crank Services. New OEM main bearings installed by Trevor Pope KTM. Head and valves pressure tested and cleaned up, there was no need to replace anything. Complete KTM gasket and seal set. Any worn clutch plates replaced. KTM bolt pack replacing 90% of all bolts. New counter shaft bearings and seal kit. Wheelset replaced with those off a 2013 bike. Any seals or bearings in the engine that were slightly worn, were replaced. I have all the receipts for the work carried out and the parts bought. The engine is as new and starts on the button. Additional work carried out; Swing Arm bearings replaced. Engine casings Aqua cleaned. Exhaust header Aqua cleaned. Fork oil and dust seals and oil replacement. New plastics set Acerbis for headlight surround, front and rear mudguard, fork protectors and rad shrouds. KTM OEM airbox and shock splash guard. Fork air bleeders fitted.
