Royal Enfield Electra X 500cc
For sale is my Royal Enfield Electra X which I bought new in August 2007 from Haywards of Cambridge. This is one of the last, more desirable, carburretered models. It has covered just over 9000 miles, it is MOT'D until August and taxed until the end of July. The rear tyre has covered approx. 1000 miles and the front was fitted at the end of last year together with a replacement drive chain. Sensible modifications have been carried out which include a free flowing exhaust and silencer, Amal Concentric conversion along with a conical air filter, one tooth larger gearbox sprocket (19T), braced trials type handlebars, screen and luggage rack. The bike has also had a new sprag clutch fitted along with the updated updated TDCI unit. A couple of things that are not perfect are a small indentation on the left hand side of the petrol tank (see photo) and the rear light/number plate holder weld has come apart (see photo) and requires fixing but is no detriment to the functionality. The bike has benefitted from an oil and filter change every 12 months and is ready to ride and enjoy.
