BSA A65 Star Project
This is a PROJECT. I did a cosmic restoration 25 years a go, rode it for a while and then took the engine apart as that needed a rebuild. Life and other bikes intervened and I've never got any further. During the cosmetic rebuild I did assemble most of the hard to find items. The nacelle, mudguards and rear tail light/number plate holder, tool tray, upper and lower (brand new) chainguards are all in good sound condition. One of the side panels fell off and got bent the other is fine. The carb is the correct Monoblock and was re sleeved. It has all original headlamp switches, but I don't have handlebars. Also missing are the fork sliders and bushes. There will probably be some missing items from the engine. I believe the gear box is a close ration item. When I bought the bike it had a side car attached which I believe had been the case from new. It will need a new alternator and the speedo has unfortunately had some water damage. I have had another A65, so there will probably be some duplicate items-most obviously the crank. I also have a brand new unused set of header pipes for this bike from Armours of Bournemouth. Thank you for looking and happy bidding. And indeed have fun with the rebuild. Any questions I will do my best to answer, but it has been a while since I've engaged in any A65 action! I am prepared to deliver in a radius of up to 50miles at 45p per mile. Milage charge based on total distance including return trip.
