James Cadet 150 cc 1965
I purchased this shell some 20 years ago with the view to restoring when I retired. have spent the last 2 years doing so. Had I known the challenges I probably would not have started it! It has an AMC engine which needed new electrics. Fabulous spark now! Carburettor was also in need of refurb and fortunately Amal stuff is easy to get. Additionally, I have had new seat made, two new tyres, two new Blue James badges which are correct for this model, and the fuel tank has been hand painted to match original design. Has been a labour of love but not intended to be 'show room' condition. Everything functions and now needs an enthusiast to register and ride it. Small oil drip like all brit bikes. Lights need a bit of attention but all there and working as is horn. Not been registered or on the road for at least 30 years but is ready to go now. Wife says I am too old and must take up gardening. (She's right!)
