BSA B40 GB WD 1967 350cc Original Ex-Army Motorcycle This is a really nice example of an original 1967 BSA B40GB ex WD 350cc motor bike. Fitted with original fitment panniers and frames designed to enable pannier bags or fuel jerry cans to be carried. Original dull chrome and cadmium plated fixings and fittings, including petrol tank and oil filler caps, headlamp rim and original exhaust system. Correct and original AMAL 398/9 butterfly carburettor fitted. Brand new Yuasa quality battery fitted. New old stock genuine BSA barrel and standard size BSA piston fitted a few years ago but has had little use since fitting. Fitted with Boyer electronic ignition system by previous owner for reliable running. Originally owned and run-off road when sold by ministry of defence, then road registered with DVLA in 1996. I have owned the bike since 1999. The markings on the tank were there when purchased, but I do not have the information of which regiments it spent its service life with. Speedometer rebuilt in 2000 as unit failed at this time – rebuilt unit supplied with odometer set at original mileage. Current mileage 13056 miles - Bike has had little use since speedometer rebuilt. Included in purchase is a folder with all paperwork and receipts, including BSA dating certificate, old MOTs, copies of BSA service sheets and specifications. This bike has a current V5C and new MOT.
