Jawa 559. 1970, 250cc Twinport for renovation.
This Jawa 559 is a real barn find, hasn't been used for years so will need a complete strip down, the wiring is a mess & the wheel rims & spokes are probably going to need replacing. Good news is the engine turns over with lots of compression, gears select & clutch works as do the brakes so nothing appears seized.The fuel tank is very clean internally & the chrome covers on the outside of the tank are removable so are easily replaced. This bike would make a great winter project as it is complete. There is a clear V.I.N. plate which states engine number, frame number & year of manufacture, all this tallies up with what is on the motorcycle. I have a NOVA certificate for the machine to prove customs clearance is complete , there are no other documents. I can get this bike delivered via courier to any U.K. mainland address for £80.
