Honda Goldwing GL1000 K2 1977

For Sale my 1977 GL1000 K2 Honda Goldwing, 43,950 miles Genuine well cared for UK bike. Mine since 2011 and the last 3 ½ thousand miles. When I got the bike it was set up as a cruiser with high bars, a King & Queen seat and long turned down exhausts. Since owning the bike I have fitted an original solid standard exhaust system, a as new genuine Honda seat complete with chrome trim (very rare), new genuine front mudguard, New spokes front and back, New Hagon Shocks, Original low K1 bars (electrics run down the inside like they should). The higher bars and longer cables are included if that’s your style I’m a 54 year old engineer who has rode and serviced my own bikes since my fizzy in 1976 this bike has no issues – ultra reliable, smooth and well serviced. It has just had oil and filters and past its MOT yesterday so good till April 2016. Its done a couple of thousand miles since it had the primary drive chain, timing belts and the valve oil seals replaced. The primary drive chain is off the crank and causes a ticking like a tappet noise when stretched. There is no adjustment on the chains, folk say it does no harm but I couldn’t have a bike of mine ticking. The last picture shows the old and new chains just before fitting – doesn’t have to stretch much! If you know these bikes you’ll know they smoke on start up if the valve oil seals are passing, particularly if left on the side stand.
