Moto Guzzi T3 ex-Carabinieri motocycle 1983
For sale is my much loved Moto Guzzi T3, ex-Carabinieri bike in the original dark blue. I have had this bike, and had a lot of pleasure from it, for eleven years. Due to my worsening disability, I am reluctantly looking at getting a trike, and the bike will have to go.It was Imported by Robertsbridge Classic bikes in 1999, who gave it a makeover and sold it for £3,500 to the previous owner, who had it for a number of years but rarely used it. I bought it in 2003. I had it properly serviced by Astico Moto. I also had a screen added, turned it into a two-seater with the addition of pegs and a Spada seat, and added a screen.It had 23,000Km on the clock when I got it, and I thought it had to have gone through the clock, but Roger, of Astico Moto confirmed them as original. In his words: "It has barely been run in". The problems it had were mainly due to non-use, such as leaking seals. I had a new clutch put in and also electronic ignition, on Roger's advice.It's certainly a going bike. It starts immediately and runs very well. Over the years I've had it serviced regularly, first by Roger and then here in Hastings by Hastings Motorcycle Centre. It's last service was in May 2014, when it had all the usual stuff: brakes, fluids, sparks. It passed its MOT without advisories and is taxed until May 2015.
