Yamaha RD350LC 1983 WHITE

I have owned this bike for 9 years, bought in 2006. The bike was imported from Germany in 2002, and only has two previous UK owners. The bike was completely original condition when purchased in 2006 (with all important matching engine and frame number, a genuine 4LO bike). I have pictures of the bike when purchased so you are welcome to compare. I simply rode the bike for a couple of years but mid 2008 the engine required a rebuild (two main crank bearing cages failed). The crank was rebuilt by Stan Stephens, who also carried out a rebore and supplied the pistons. Having split the engine I decided to have cases vapour blasted, plus change all gearbox/water pump bearing. I also replaced the gear cluster with ones that had only covered 12,000 kms (7,500 miles) as a few of the selectors were not always engaging correctly and three of the gears were showing signs of wear (I still have all the original components), the selector shaft was also replaced with a new one as the original had the customary groove where it passed through the oil seal. The cylinder head has been engineered flat and a genuine Yamaha head gasket used (no gunk as often used with pattern gaskets!).For those that restore bikes you will understand that having started to refresh components it’s hard not to continue, and so it was here. Therefore, taper head bearings were fitted, wheel bearings replaced, new Hargon front fork springs and rear shock used, various new rubber mounts and grommets galore used, rear sea...
