HONDA CBR1000F-J RED
Honda CBR1000F-J 1988 43,000 miles I've had this bike for four and a half years. Bought from the previous owner who'd had it since 2002 and had cherished it. I bought it as a commuter and used it for the first summer, then circumstances changed at it was parked in my warm, dry garage, where it's been ever since!Mileage showing on MoT at 27th May 2009 was 41809 and at 16th July 2010 was 41822 (13 miles in a year!! Not Bad.) Current mileage is 42839 so, as you can see, it hasn't exactly been over-used recently.I started to recommission the bike last year, fitted new plugs, stripped and rebuilt the carbs and she ran really well. Then I wheeled her back into the garage, where she rested for another few months.I now need the space and other projects beckon and I've decided to sell her. Fitted a brand new battery last week and she starts fine, there's no nasty noises and no smoke. Whilst unused, the clutch fluid has escaped from the banjo union at the engine end, so the clutch reservoir will need topping up and bleeding (ie you won't be able to ride her away, but the MoT has expired so you shouldn't anyway...) Stainless exhaust.All original. Nothing has been cut, painted, tampered with or molested in any way.All the plastics are good and original. I took them off to service the carbs and figured there was no point putting them back on, because the first thing the buyer will do is take them all off again to recommission the bike.
