Yamaha FJ1200
Finally selling my faithful old FJ after many good miles of enjoyment. This was my big brothers bike from new & he did some touring on it for a few years before getting a Honda Blackbird, so I end up with his hand me downs again but one of his better ones!! Since I got the bike in the winter of 07 I spent 5 months stripping her & replacing bits n bearings & putting some improvements/upgrades on her. She now rides like a new bike and is still full of life. The list of work is as follows; Replaced the front/rear wheel bearings & seals.. Fitted blue spot front calipers & Brembo pads. New braided brake hoses complete sets front & rear. New braided clutch hoses. New brake & clutch seals to the masters. New clutch. New headstock taper bearings. New Beowolf silencers (not very silent just awesome)!! New aloy swing arm & new bushes/bearings/seals complete. New Hagon rear shock & progressive fork springs. New fork oil & dust seals & oil. New rear disc & gold caliper with Brembo pads. 12v outlet for my satnav. New seat with FJ logo. 2 new tyres end of last year. Top end serviced & re-shimmed by local Yam dealer.New wing mirrors Honda ones so you can see behind & not just your shoulders!! Full set of Givi E45 luggage & tank bag. New battery 2 years ago, always kept on trickle charger in my garage when not in use, which is a lot!
