BSA C15 Star 1967 Restored V5C Matching Numbers Tax Exempt
BSA C15 1967 Restored.V5 in my name and key, currently SORN.Matching numbers, tax exempt.I bought this 3 years ago to use for bike shows and the odd run out.Has been sat in my workshop ever since, unused. Its a bit small for me, so I've decided it has to go.Previous owner restored it and used it for a couple of years, I have the MOTs from him.I've just changed the fuel, charged the battery and it now starts and runs.Still has the original dealer brass badge.A lot of restoration work was done, this included strip down and repainting of all parts, many new nuts and bolts and replacement exhaust.Allegedly engine rebuilt, but I have no evidence of this. The seat has been recovered and a new chain guard made.It has good tyres and the wheels are solid.Needs a thorough service/check over before its MOT. Known faults; front brake is not great, may adjust out but maybe standard issue.Rear sprocket is pretty worn and the chain guard is non-original, its also missing the 2 chrome strips from the tank top.It smokes a bit, possibly the rings have stuck due to standing or it may need remedial work. The transfer on the seat back needs replacing. The paint looks nice but upon really close scrutiny it is not up to concourse standard, its probably not the exact BSA shade of blue either. The frame has many paint chips, could do with touch up.I will update the listing if anything else comes to mind. I may also update the photos, watch this space.I'm sure there are quite a few non-original parts, but ...
